Color & Materiality series are 8 different posters with 8 different figures. Each figure, composed of a single hue, creates a two-dimensional figure that works towards an alternative understanding of color. The figures investigate the impact of unique painterly effects produced by computer-based imagery. Once color is seen as a constructive material rather than a visual representation, the figures start to achieve alternative tectonic qualities that resemble those of a traditional painting. These figures consisting of color extend the notion of materiality from the physical realm to the digital.
