Procedural Reality
Installation, 2018
Exhibited at the Galata Greek School Istanbul, Turkey, February 2018
Procedural Reality is an immersive installation that consists of large scaled, unique glass objects. A layer of projection mapping is digitally imprinted on top of the glass objects, functioning as the soul of these objects. This digital layer generates different painterly patterns that interact with the physical constitution of the glassworks. Once surrounded by different glass sculptures, the visitors see the environment through different lenses of patterns, which then creates a unique effect of being at the center of a digital painting. The exhibition offers an alternative perception of materials and also a new way of feeling into space and engaging with it. The viewers placed inside a painterly object, that is a three-dimensional painting, discover unique artistic and architectural perspectives in the realm of Procedural Reality.
